Well Designed Ad

This is an ad out of Dwell Magazine illustrating and describing a unique apartment complex. I believe this ad to be well designed for several reasons. The large, detailed, full-page image of the apartments catches your eye and draws you into the ad, encouraging you to learn more about the complex. The bright and vivid colors are also very helpful in attracting your attention, not to mention adding beauty and excitement to the ad. The large image including the sky is captured at a very flattering angle; showcasing some of the apartments' best features. The following page from the magazine does a great job at elaborating upon the building's design through the inclusion of additional pictures of the apartments, as well as text and a floor plan. On the second page, I appreciate how they've broken up the page into two sections with a simple line, while still allowing a similar composition in each separate section. For example, the left side of each section consists of an almost square portion of information, while the right side of each section includes a vertical portion of information. The clean and crisp arrangement of the ad allows the reader to easily follow and understand it while enjoying it's visual appeal.
